aids marathon

Yes, I'm training to run in the 2003 Honolulu Marathon, December 14, 2003. Right now I'm training with the San Francisco AIDS Marathon Training Program. From June through December I'll be running more than 500 miles.

Here's my happy running group after running our 26.2 mile practice marathon.

This may seem like déjà vu. I ran the 2002 Honolulu Marathon and raised nearly $4000 for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Here are some pictures from last year's event:

Weblog posted in realtime™ from my hiptop during the marathon.

So how can you help? Please sponsor me in the 2003 marathon. By sponsoring me for the marathon, you provide much needed funds for the fight against AIDS. Besides, you help get me to Honolulu.

Need more convincing?

Did you know that more than one million Americans, and 40 million others around the world, are now living with HIV -- the virus that causes AIDS?

In fact, approximately 1 in every 50 San Franciscans is living with HIV/AIDS. So the money I raise will benefit the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Donations will support HIV services and prevention programs in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties - to help keep people alive until there's a cure. A portion of the funds will also support treatment access in the developing world.
